The original big three right here. Lets diagnose how they did this weekend:
Tim Tebow:
He did enough. He by no means carried the team to their victory this week in hostile tiger stadium. You could tell he was not completley comfortable with being on the field in this game but it really didnt make much of a difference as the Florida defense stone cold stopped the LSU offense. But this is nothing new and really anybody with a brain could see that LSU offense had been struggling all year and with Florida having one of the best defenses in the nation they were going to win regardless of their quarterback. But I must gove Tebow props for manning up and taking the hits when it mattered to get conversions on 3rd down. This is really the only spot on their schedule where they coulda been tripped up. Road to the title game goes through the SEC championship.
Sam Bradford:
Had an average showing for a player of his caliber. I mean he did throw for over 300 yards but
1. It was Baylor
2. It was Baylor
3. I mean c'mon must i say it again
He has Texas next week and we'll see if he's really back
Colt McCoy:
Once again got off to his slow start. But as usual in the second half Texas turned it on and destroyed Colorado in the second half. This worries me about McCoy. Against Oklahoma he cant afford to start slow and allow his team to be down by 2 touchdowns and expect to come back. He had a decent game but nothing really impressive against a team like Colorado.
This week I gotta give it to Tebow for manning up and playing even though he was very close to being a non factor. Too bad they dont run the spread option in the NFL.

The Return
The Return of Sam Bradford sounds awesome for Oklahoma fans. Good job by Bob Stoops to bring him back against Baylor who without their QB is a deadbeat team. He's gonna need to get that timing back as the Longhorns wait in the distance and he is going to have to be in almost perfect form to beat them.
**Another point of note is that Ryan Broyles the Sooners top WR is injured now and with neither him or Greshem able to play who is going to catch the ball of OU??

The Injury Bug
There are a couple key injuries so far this week that deserve some attention:
Eli Manning:
The injury to his heal is not too serious and is going to be more of an annoyance to Manning then an actually painful or career threatening. He is on my fantasy football team so I am definitely keeping a close eye on this one. If Eli is not able to play then the backup is going to be David Carr who I think is capable enough to beat the worthless offense and very basic defense Raiders.
Fred Taylor:
Out of nowhere Taylor is expected to have ankle surgery on his right ankle on his last carry in the Patriots win over the Ravens according to ESPN.com. This really isn't anything new in regards to Taylor being hurt again in his career. Even when he was younger he was always banged up and rarely finished a whole NFL season and at this point in his career needs a backfield by committee to survive. This is a major blow to the Patriots as he was becoming there consistent run threat as the only back to have a 100-yard game this year. Sucks for u owners who picked him up in fantasy.
Matthew Stafford:
Just when the Lions were starting to find an identity. BAM! Down goes Stafford. It looks like he is 50-50 to play on sunday but this franchise does not want to risk its greatest asset and the first QB to give them a win since 2007. Daunte Culpepper as a backup is by no means anything bad as he brings experience and a strong arm to this offense. Since they are playing the Steelers this week it may just be their best bet just to let Culpepper take the beating and let Stafford watch.

The League so far
We have some real surprises early in this football season and ill rank my top 5 so far:
5. New York Jets
Everyone knew the Jets would be better on defense now that Rex Ryan was the coach but who knew the QB who only started at USC for a year would look so good. He lost this week to a team that has the potential to make a deep run into the playoffs being the New Orleans Saints and really for the first time looked like a rookie. If this defense can play good enough to nullify Sanchez's inevitable mistakes as he matures this team could be good now and only get better in the future.
4. Cincinnati Bengals
This team has always had the caliber on offense to be a serious threat but it was always their defense that was in question. After beating the Steelers at home and then beating the Browns on the road they have suddenly become a respectable 3-1 team having won 3 straight and a freak play away from being undefeated. Watch out for this Bengals team...they're my sleeper pick this year.
3.Detroit Lions
It had to come eventually right the Lions finally got a win last week. But the real surprise is the quick maturity of Matthew Stafford and how he has been handed the reigns of the team and has embraced the role. This is a Detroit team with a different swagger and look in their eyes as they now at least know they have a chance (a slight chance but one nonetheless) to win a football game. I feel sorry that the worthless Redskins had to be the one. Hope you leased that house Jim Zorn
2. Denver Broncos
Kyle Orton. Who thought any team where he was the starting quarterback would start 4-0? He is now and with a defense behind him giving up the fewest points in the league. You just watch this team and wonder how do they keep winning. After every win you wonder are the teams they playing bad or are they just that good. Only time will tell on this one and for the time being they have to belong at the top of the league with the other undefeated s.
1. Tennessee Titans
Wow. Talk about a fall from grace. This powerhouse from last year has yet to win a game and are playing in...shootouts?? For a team that hung its hat on defense last year that is the last thing they are playing. Kerry Collins is not a 4 td throwing quarterback and plays much better behind a good defense. This team just doesn't have the weapons on the outside to put up alot of points and it is showing. If this continues don't be surprised if you see the forgotten man in Vince Young step on the field and get that o so important second chance that we Americans love.
